Free Jewelry Polishing

For many customers, the biggest thrill they get at Jewelry Designs is free. Come in and let our jewelers refinish your jewelry. At Jewelry Designs, we have far more elaborate polishing capabilities than the average jewelry store. As a complete jewelry manufacturing operation, we have equipment and craftspeople on hand that will give you a "new" finish on your old jewelry… while you wait, at no cost. It’s our way of thanking you for letting us be your jeweler.

Jewelry Inspection

While we are polishing your jewelry, we will inspect it for any wear or developing problems and report them to you before you leave. This preventive maintenance often leads to avoiding a lost stone, a bracelet from falling off, or a pendant from dropping off of a broken chain.

Gem Stone Tightening

While we inspect your jewelry, we will tighten any loose stones that are detected. If the job is simple, our setters will snug them while you wait at no cost to you. Precious metals are soft and can easily shift. We recommend that all stone jewelry that is worn regularly should be cleaned and inspected every six months to insure that the stones do not loosen. After all, the service is free, and your jewelry always looks great afterward.

Rhodium Finishing Jewelry

With the popularity of white metals, more and more people are realizing that white gold doesn’t always remain the pure chrome white color that it is when it was new. That’s because white gold is made from pure yellow 24kt gold. The pure gold is alloyed with metals like nickel that lend it white color, nonetheless, the metal still has a yellow tint. To compensate for this, white gold is coated with rhodium. Rhodium is a very precious metal that is micron plated over white gold. Ultimately, rhodium wears away and reveals the slightly yellow"white gold" it has been concealing. If your ring is turning slightly yellow and you would like to have the rhodium finish reapplied, we can do it for a nominal fee while we are polishing your jewelry.
